Infarm's fully digitalized vertical greenhouses have recently been on display in two Aldi Süd stores. With herbs to "harvest yourself," the grocery discounter wants to take pole position in terms of freshness. Another seven stores are to follow by the end of 2020. According to Infarm, a two-square-meter indoor herb garden produces around 7500 plants per year.
